INDIVIDUAL PROJECT

STUDIO 5 | PARSONS SCHOOL OF DESIGN

How might we make it easier and more appealing for occasional cyclists using shared bikes to wear protective head gear and reduce their risk of injury?

The Problem

Occasional commuters on shared bikes face increased
risk because they often ride short trips in traffic, navigating
intersections and side streets. The spontaneous nature
of these rides means they usually do not carry their
own safety gear, leaving them vulnerable to accidents and injuries.

Existing foldable helmets are expensive or inconvenient to carry about.
